 when assign a ticket, filling "assign to" field with an email dotted TRAC
 seems to be unable to deliver notification but without error messages.
 in example:

 sbirulino.casa at casa.it  doesn't work

 sbirulino at casa.it works

 ( obviously with both email addresses working ;) )
