First, note that IE/Mac is a completely different beast than IE/Win. 
Chances are they don't share a single line of code (but of course I 
don't know for sure ;-) ).

Second, I sometimes do testing of Trac on IE/Mac -- even though I agree 
the browser is pretty much irrelevant -- and login does work for me.
