No, I had an itchy trigger finger.  I should have read the OP.

I don't know how to do it either, but will be attempting it shortly.

P.S.  I'm getting luke-warm on this idea, but I wrote it up nonetheless:

It would make no distinction between standard and custom ticket 
attributes, but would be a pain to implement...
