[Trac] Scope of a "project" or a "repository"

So am I reading this right as:-
      * Unmodified trac requires (or at least strongly prefers) a one to
        one mapping of project <-> repository.
      * SVN can be used either way, and a lot of people seem to propose
        a repository with many projects/modules/thingys
