[Trac] HTTP Compression

Can someone help me out with enabling http compression for Trac? I've tried
putting lines like this in the <Location> blocks for Trac, but can't seem to
get it to work.
 SetOutputFilter DEFLATE
AddOutputFilterByType DEFLATE text/html text/plain text/xml
 I was using Etheral to monitor traffic and it doesn't appear to be
compressed.
